Pastor Jim was born in Brush, Colorado in 1944. One of nine children and one adopted brother. Mary was born in a house in Colorado Springs, one of four children. They have three adult sons. Friendship Assembly of God Church was pioneered by them in 1980. Besides ministry, their interests are golfing and children.
They believe in the best of the old time traditions of Pentecost in preaching and songs. They also embrace the best of contemporary music that features what Pastor Hagan calls the three Rs of good music; Rhyme, Rhythm and Redemption. Pastor Hagan's sermons are filled with teaching, illustrations, humor, history and passion.
